Shweta Kanungo is a development professional with over 10 years of experience in designing, managing, and scaling social impact programs across diverse and resource-constrained contexts. Her work spans program strategy, institutional building, partnerships, fundraising, communications, and large-scale program implementation, with a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and long-term systemic change.

Most recently, Shweta served as Programs Head at The Amulya Jeevan Foundation (Odisha), where she was a founding member, and played a critical role in building the organization from the ground up. She led statutory registrations and compliance, designed and implemented donor-aligned programs, built and managed multi-functional teams, led fundraising and donor engagement, and developed key institutional documents including annual reports, newsletters, and donor communications.

Earlier, she worked as partnerships & communications manager at Need Base India (Bangalore), where she strengthened organizational visibility and brand positioning, managed digital platforms, built partnerships and supported fundraising campaigns and organizational restructuring. At SATHI (Bangalore), as Social Centre Lead, she led multi-location reporting systems, data consolidation and analysis, large-scale staff capacity building, research studies on child restoration and reintegration, and high-quality documentation for donor engagement, including materials for high-profile visits and public communications.

Shweta also had a stint as Chief Programme Officer at PRERANA (Bangalore), where she designed and managed a scholarship program supporting 650+ students, achieving 99% placement outcomes, strengthened alumni networks and increased donor contributions.

  • Integrated M.Tech in Biotechnology from Amity University.
